About Joe

Joe is from Mobile, Alabama. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of South Alabama with a major in Criminal Justice and minor in Communication. While at USA he was a member of both the President’s List and Dean’s List, and received the Al Romer Memorial Scholarship for Academic Excellence in Criminal Justice.

Joe attended Cumberland School of Law, and obtained a Juris Doctor while participating on the Trial Advocacy Board, winning both moot court and trial competitions. He is also a member of the American Journal of Trial Advocacy. Before joining ESW in 2011, Joe worked with the Baxley, Dillard law firm in Birmingham, specializing in trial work focused towards personal injury, medical malpractice and general litigation practice.

Joe is licensed to practice in all State and Federal Courts in Alabama. He is a member of the Alabama State Bar and the Birmingham Bar Association.

Joe’s areas of practice as an associate attorney for ESW include: trucking litigation, general liability, insurance coverage disputes, premises liability, and worker’s compensation. He has successfully tried both jury and non-jury trials to a conclusion. Joe’s experience also includes appellate advocacy, having successfully briefed and argued cases before the Alabama Supreme Court and 11th Circuit Court of Appeals.
