About Matt

Matthew and his wife Katie reside in Tuscaloosa, Alabama with their beloved dogs. Matthew graduated from the University of Alabama, cum laude, in 2004 with a bachelor of arts in History and Geography. He later attended the University of Alabama School of Law, graduating in 2006. Matthew spent the next three years working in litigation, primarily insurance defense and worker’s compensation.

Matthew joined Estes, Sanders & Williams in December 2009. With ESW, Matthew’s primary focuses are worker’s compensation, premises liability, construction cases, products liability, subrogation, and employment law. He is admitted to the Alabama State Bar, the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals, as well as the Northern and Middle Federal Districts in Alabama.

Matthew is a member of the Alabama Defense Lawyer’s Association and the worker’s compensation section of the Alabama Bar. He has prepared and handled numerous jury and non-jury cases to completion, including trials and alternative forms of dispute resolution.
